Henry Marsh's And Finally is a memoir. The book goes over his life as a neurosurgeon and medical volunteer in Ukraine. He demonstrates his gripes with life as he is diagnosed with brain cancer, a condition that he himself treated in his medical career. He covers his insecurities in thinking about his old career and the risk associated with high level operations in the world of medicine. Through his transformation of Doctor to patient, he is troubled by the inconveniences of old age and illness. However he still shows a great appreciation for science and its mystique. |
